A native of New England, JESSICA MORIN is a seasoned professional, classically trained vocalist and actress.
Currently based in both Ocala and Tampa, Florida, Jessica is well known in theatrical circles for perhaps her greatest strength: her extraordinary vocal versatility. She is equally comfortable performing roles that feature her mezzo belt - such as her recent acclaimed performance as Roxie Hart in CHICAGO - or utilizing her trained soprano in classics such as Hanna Glawari in THE MERRY WIDOW or Anna Leonowens in THE KING AND I.
Jessica is also very much a Jazz and standard enthusiast and enjoys performing in concerts and cabarets that allow her to thank some of her greatest vocal influences such as the late, greats Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, and Eva Cassidy. When not performing, Jess enjoys sharing her love of theatre with her voice and acting students.
Jessica stars as "Anna Leonowens" in the Show Palace Dinner Theatre's production March 14 - April 19, 2015
Jessica continues as a featured vocalist supporting Michael Mathews and the Copacabana Dancers in the Florida Tour during select dates through July, 2015
Jess fulfills a dream role as "Princess Fiona" in SLT's production in May 2015
Posessing a Broadway belt, a classically-trained soprano, and sultry jazz vocal stylings, Jessica has had the unique opportunity to perform in a wide variety of roles.
I have watched Jessica grow in dedicating and committing all areas of focus to the art of acting. Her voice is unique that she is incredibly versatile in so many styles from being trained in Opera, Era Specific, Jazz, Broadway, and more! She is a consumate professional in every part of the process and I would have no reservations about recommending her to any professional venue. She is a delight to work with.SuSu Sparkman, Director
